138 x 137 cm, oil paint and oil pastel on canvas, 2012 This is part of a series of paintings I made "Road Trip Series". Here I explore fragments of memory and nostalgia. It was made using slide photography as source material and combines different elements from several photographs. Areas of the painting are abstract and layered with drips and brushwork. The colonial style house and classic car give a vintage feel to the painting.
